Review – Petit Miam x

We’re loving these gorgeous images and words about our little cheese shop from Petit Miam x

Here is a little excerpt. Click through for the full review and all the pics!

“Wine and cheese are some of my favourite things to indulge in so it’s no surprise that I loved Milk the Cow. Offering a range of flights with matching beverages was a great and fun experience for our group. It was particularly interesting to savour cheese paired with an array of pours, other than wine. Whether it be a date night, catch up between friends or a group outing, Milk the Cow is the ideal spot to waste away an afternoon consuming lots of cheese and alcohol. It’s been on my wishlist ever since it opened and I don’t know why it has taken me this long to get here.”

Thank you, Catherine!

Photos – A Beautiful Wedding

We were delighted that Naanki & Neil chose one of our custom cheese towers as their wedding cake for a gorgeous ceremony at Werribee Mansion. We thought you’d like a little peek at the cake! Congratulations to Naanki and Neil on their wedding!

Event – A Day On the Green

We were thrilled to recently be invited to be a part of AAMI’s Lucky Lounge, a VIP experience at A Day On the Green with Alicia Keys headlining. The New York, New York theme made for a gorgeous marquee where guests could relax with private facilities, make up touch ups and exclusive food and beverage.

Our signature cheeseboxes were a big hit, we even designed our menu to be inspired by a New York deli menu!

Check out our photos below – thanks to AAMI and Rochford Winery for having us!

Awards – The Epicure Munchie Awards

What do coconut water, kale, cronuts and CHEESE have in common? Well, they all trended in 2013, apparently. Epicure ran their round up of food trends for the year in late December and cheese specialists are all the rage! We even got a sneaky mention and a handsome photo featuring our cheesemonger Andrew.

Review – Tucker

New food website Tucker published a fantastic interview with our Head Cheesemonger Laura Lown ahead of the festive season, along with some fantastic photography by the very talented team behind the brand:

“Milk the Cow is one of those rare and special places that’s at once exciting and utterly homely. The staff at Milk the Cow are experts in their cheesy field and will do their best to help you find your perfect cheese match. We dropped in to talk to head cheesemonger, Laura Lown, to find out how to do cheese the right way this Christmas.

It’s early on a Wednesday morning and St Kilda is just starting to wake up. On approaching 157 Fitzroy Street we are greeted by a young, smiling woman. Her checkered shirt is buttoned all the way to the top, her hair is tightly tied up and she is sporting a very sharp black blazer. “Hi, I’m Laura, the head cheesemonger here at Milk the Cow”. Young, bubbly and uber trendy, she wasn’t who we were expecting, but then again, perhaps it was wrong of us to assume anything given Milk the Cow’s growing reputation as one of Melbourne’s most innovative and modern specialty cheese shops.”
