Milk the Cow is a licensed fromagerie (in other words, a cheese bar) located at St Kilda and Carlton in the beautiful city of Melbourne, Australia. Open 7 days a week until late, you can pop past anytime for a cheese fix, a cheese dinner or a cheese adventure. Reservations are welcomed, as are walk-ins. You can also shop online 24/7 for curated cheese hampers delivered to your door, right across Australia.

Milk the Cow sources and stocks artisan, award-winning and interesting cheeses from around the world and we spend our days matchmaking - Cheese & Wine, Cheese & Beer, Cheese & Cocktails, Cheese & Whisky... and on it goes, forever chasing the Perfect Match.

When we first launched in 2012, quite a few people thought we were outrageous, hyper-specialising in cheese.
But we had a hunch that we weren’t the only people addicted to post-dinner (or pre-dinner, or for-dinner, or lunchtime…) cheeseboards.
Our first signature offering was our Cheese Flights. Served on custom-made boards, these flights pair individual portions of cheese with tastings of wine, beer, cider, gin, whisky and more for the best way to experience ever-rotating selections from our cabinet and bar.
More than a decade on, we are still a family-owned small business and our taste for fromagehasn’t faded.
When you walk into Milk the Cow, it should feel like you're at a cellar door. Friendly smiles, enthusiastic expertise. Everything is available to taste. Have a little or have a lot. Stay awhile or pop in for something to go - either way, you are most welcome.
We didn’t actually make any of the amazing cheeses or boutique beverages on show, which is why we can boast about them proudly. Our team love sharing their knowledge and will meet you at whatever level you’re at, without the wank.

We garnish our signature cocktails with wedges of fromage.
We deep fry our Camemberts, and bake them too.
We set Saganaki on fire, tableside.
We experiment with fondues made with beer.
We churn cheese into gelato, bake it into high tea cakes, have Melbourne’s best chefs create four course dinners with cheese as the hero in every dish. We create lush grazing stations for corporate events, provide cheese towers for weddings, send cheese experts to host guided flights for big groups.
And finally, we box our cheese into beautiful hampers matched with boutique beverages and ship them all over Australia so people everywhere can experience a little bit of what we love so much for themselves at home, or share it with a loved one as an always-welcomed gift.
